Lex’s big buns

This project is a commissioned logo design for Lex’s Big Buns, a local artisanal good company who is known for especially large cinnamon rolls. Lex’s requested a simple design that conveyed a homemade yet elevated appeal. While the design works in both black and white, Lex’s requested a rich navy blue label to contrast with the creamy frosting of a cinnamon roll or another delectable dessert.
I began with designing a moodboard for Lex’s to view with various inspiration, then mocked up a few logos I felt captured the shared inspiration and initial request. The final logo combines Lex’s iconic ‘big buns’ with a brief tagline and establishment date.
